Malone Mitchell 3rd                              Partner, Managing Member 

Mr. Mitchell founded both Riata Management and Longfellow Energy in 2006. He founded Riata Energy (now SandRidge Energy) in 1985. He served as Operations Manager at Riata Energy until 1989 when he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, which he held until June 2006. During this period, Riata grew from $500 to become one of the largest privately held energy companies and the largest privately held land driller in the US and had significant midstream and tertiary oil production operations. Until December 2006, Mr. Mitchell held the position of President and COO, when he decided to resign from daily management in the company. Prior to his involvement with Riata Energy, he worked in the oil field services industry and was employed in his family’s ranching and aviation businesses. Mr. Mitchell graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Mitchell is also actively involved in the venture capital and agriculture businesses.


Amy Mitchell                                                     

Partner, Managing Member

Mrs. Mitchell served as the sole accountant, as well as the Regulatory and Compliance Administrator for Riata Energy, Inc. beginning in 1987 through 1990. She graduated from Oklahoma State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. She managed the real estate acquisitions and investments as well as the corporate records of the Riata entities, and was actively involved in the development of the companies. She co-founded Riata Management in 2005 with her husband, Malone Mitchell 3rd. Currently Mrs. Mitchell is the Managing Director of the Piñon Foundation, a family charitable trust.


Mike Burnett                                                          

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Burnett joined Riata Management in January 2007. He served as the CFO for Riata Energy from January 1996 to September 2006 and Treasurer for SandRidge Energy from September 2006 to January 2007. He was previously employed in the banking industry from 1982 through 1995 in Oklahoma & Arkansas. He obtained a B.S. in 1982 from Oklahoma State University and a M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University in 1984. 


Christine Stroud                                    General Counsel


Ms. Stroud joined Riata Management in November 2010. She is responsible for legal advice and representation in contract, regulatory and litigation matters. Prior to joining Riata Management, she practiced law from 2005 to 2008 with the law firm of Sprouse Shrader Smith, P.C. in Amarillo, Texas. She also held the position of Counsel at XTO Energy Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas from 2008 to 2010. Ms. Stroud received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University in 2002 and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree from Texas Tech University in 2005.

 Matt McCann                                                                  Counsel

Mr. McCann has served as Counsel for Riata Management since June 2007. Mr. McCann is responsible for legal advice and representation in contract, regulatory and litigation matters. Prior to this, he served as Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary for SandRidge Energy, Inc. from October 2005 to June 2007. In April 2001 to October 2005, he served as Counsel for Riata Energy, Inc. Prior to joining Riata Energy, Inc., Mr. McCann represented the company while practicing law with the Amarillo, Texas, law firm of Sprouse, Smith & Rowley, P.C. from August 1995 to April 2001. Mr. McCann received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont in 1991 and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Oklahoma - College of Law in 1995.


Monte Bell                                                    

Executive Vice President

Mr. Bell joined Riata Management in February 2007 where he is responsible for the technical review and management evaluation of prospective alternative and renewable energy investments for the company. He was previously employed by SandRidge Energy (formerly Riata Energy) as Vice President, Midstream from July 2000 to February 2007, where he was responsible for the company’s purchase and sale of energy products, acquisition and management of midstream assets related to natural gas and carbon dioxide systems. He has over 23 years experience in the electric utility and natural gas industries. He was previously employed with KN Energy Marketing and Southwestern Public Service Company. He obtained a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985 from Texas Tech University and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management from University of Colorado in 1994.


Barbara Pope                                                                               Vice President Accounting

Mrs. Pope's career with Riata Management began in 2006. She was previously the Vice President of Accounting for Riata Energy from 1997 to 2006. Her responsibilities include investment analysis and oversight of the accounting staff. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 1976. Her 30 years of experience includes Phillips Petroleum, Kerr McGee Oil & Gas and Collis Manufacturing. She also has served as treasurer for numerous 501(c)(3) companies.


Blake Wilson                                                      

Vice President Tax


Mr. Wilson joined Riata Management in February 2007 where he is responsible for all tax related matters for the companies. He was previously employed by SandRidge Energy (formerly Riata Energy) as Tax Manager from January 2006 to February 2007. He has over 26 years experience in the areas of federal, state, estate and excise taxation. Prior to joining Riata Energy, Mr. Wilson previously owned and operated a sole-proprietorship public accounting firm specializing in tax practice. Mr. Wilson graduated from the University of Texas, Austin in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a major in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. 


Joe Cusimano                                            

Chief Information Officer

Mr. Cusimano joined Riata Management as their Chief Information Officer in February 2007. Prior to joining Riata, he served as the Executive Vice President for CygNet Software, an Oil & Gas SCADA software company. His career has also included experience as a Director of Information Services for a VC-funded startup company and as a Software Engineering Manager for Kimray, Inc. After completing his graduate degree, he served on the research faculty of the University of Oklahoma Energy Center as a senior technical lead or principal investigator on projects for the US Department of Energy, the Gas Research Institute, and the United Nations. Mr. Cusimano holds both Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Oklahoma in Aerospace Engineering.


Terry Pope                                  

Vice President Risk, Human Resources

Mr. Pope joined Riata Management in 2006. Prior to this, he worked for Riata Energy in Risk Management and Human Resources from 1996 to 2006. He was a District Manager for Farmers Insurance from 1984 to 1994. His experience includes land acquisitions and divestitures, drilling, production/operations, investments and insurance. In addition to directing Human Resources, Mr. Pope also manages the companies’ risk and safety programs. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in 1977.


Mike Scott                      

General Contractor / Project Building Superintendent


Mr. Scott joined Riata Management January 2007. In 2007, he took on a special project to build Stocktons Entertainment in Fort Stockton, TX. Prior to this, he was employed by Alsate Management from 2005 to 2006 where he built numerous buildings in Fort Stockton,Odessa and Midland,TX. From 2000 to 2004 he was in partnership with the Mitchell’s building new homes in Amarillo,Tx. From 1979 to 1999, he owned a construction company in Amarillo,Tx that primarily framed new residential houses and new commercial buildings. Mr. Scott has over 30 years of experience in the building industry.


Gary Fincher                             

Benefits/Human Resources Manager


 Mr. Fincher joined Riata Management in August 2008 to manage the employee benefits of the growing company. He was previously employed in the benefits department with Riata Energy and SandRidge Energy from 2000 to 2007. Mr. Fincher had a 25 year career in insurance sales and management prior to joining Riata Energy in 2000. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. 


Julie Fincher                                    

Executive Assistant


Mrs. Fincher joined Riata Management, LLC in January 2007 as Executive Assistant to N. Malone Mitchell 3rd. Her career started with Riata Energy, Inc., in 2000 as a member of the Land Department. In 2001, she accepted the position as Administrative Assistant to Amy and Malone Mitchell which included holding a State of Texas Realtor’s License. In 2006 Riata Energy was purchased by SandRidge Energy and relocated to Oklahoma City, OK.


 Kenneth Pope                                            

Managing Director Latin America, LAÇO Management 


Mr. Pope joined Riata Management in 2006. Mr. Pope serves as the Managing Director of Latin America for Riata Management’s subsidiary Laço Management based in São Paulo Brazil. Prior to this, he served as the CFO of Laço Management from August 2008 to April 2010 where he was responsible for the construction, development and management of Laço Management’s Brazil investment portfolio. Prior to this, Mr. Pope served as an Energy Investment Analyst for Riata Management from November 2006 to August 2008, where he was responsible for the management of a portfolio of fixed income and equity investments, development and analysis of new market investment opportunities, and the analysis of prospective investment’s future cash flow and return on investment. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Zoology Bio-Medical Sciences and graduated with Honors from Oklahoma City University with a M.B.A.

Noé Duran                                               Controller, LAÇO Management

Mr. Duran joined Riata Management in 2009. He currently serves as Controller for Riata Management’s subsidiary Laço Management based in São Paulo Brazil. Prior to this, he served as the Assistant Controller of Riata Management from July 2009 to June 2010 where he was responsible for the consolidated reporting of the Mitchell group of companies. Prior to this, Mr. Duran served as an assurance associate for Ernst & Young LLP from June 2005 to June 2009, where he performed financial statement/internal control auditing procedures on public and private companies, and in various industries including oil and gas, chemicals/utilities, restaurants and health care. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
